For more than three decades, the Crabtree family has been committed to creating places where people feel supported, valued, and at home. What began with one small home and a passion for helping others has grown into Crabtree Living Solutions—a trusted provider of residential, apartment, and day services for individuals with disabilities throughout Southeastern Wisconsin.

While our services have grown over the years, our purpose has remained the same: to provide compassionate, person-centered support that empowers individuals to live meaningful lives, build lasting relationships, and remain connected to the communities they call home. Every home, program, and service we offer is rooted in the belief that every person deserves the opportunity to thrive.
The cls story
A Legacy of Care
The story of Crabtree Living Solutions began long before the company officially opened its doors.

In 1992, Jeff Crabtree took a leap of faith by opening a two-bed certified home for individuals with disabilities. One year later, the home became licensed as a four-bed Adult Family Home (AFH), where Jeff lived alongside the residents he supported. Together, they celebrated milestones, navigated challenges, shared everyday life, and built relationships rooted in trust, compassion, and respect.

After meeting his wife, the two continued living with and supporting residents together, creating a truly family-centered environment. Those early years shaped a philosophy that remains at the heart of our organization today: exceptional care begins with genuine relationships, compassion, and a commitment to helping every person live a meaningful and fulfilling life.

In 2005, Jeff Crabtree and his brother, Mack Crabtree, officially founded Crabtree Residential Living with a shared vision of providing high-quality residential services for individuals with disabilities. Drawing on years of hands-on experience, they believed every individual deserved more than just a place to live—they deserved a place to belong.

What began with a small number of CBRFs and AFHs in the Burlington and Kenosha communities quickly grew as the need for quality residential services continued to increase. Throughout that growth, one thing never changed: the belief that quality care is built through strong relationships, individualized support, and treating every person with dignity and respect.

In 2014, Jeff and Mack were approached by their contracting agency, Community Care, Inc., to develop a quality apartment living program for individuals with disabilities who were ready for greater independence while continuing to receive personalized support. They recognized that many of the individuals they already served would benefit from another housing option that promoted independence while maintaining access to the services they relied on.
That opportunity led to the creation of Crabtree Property Management, the Apartment Services division of Crabtree Living Solutions.

As the needs of the individuals we serve continued to evolve, so did our organization. Crabtree Living Solutions expanded beyond residential and apartment services with the addition of our Day Services program, creating even more opportunities for community involvement, recreation, volunteerism, skill development, social connection, and meaningful daily experiences. Today, our programs support adults with a wide range of abilities, goals, and support needs, providing individualized services that help each person live the life they choose.

Today, CLS proudly serves individuals throughout the Burlington and Kenosha communities with Residential Services, Apartment Services, and Day Services. Operating from Kenosha, Wisconsin, Jeff and Mack bring more than 50 years of combined experience supporting individuals with disabilities in residential settings. Their knowledge, leadership, and unwavering commitment continue to guide every aspect of our organization.

As Chief Operating Officer and Part Owner of Crabtree Living Solutions, Jeff Crabtree has played an instrumental role in the growth and success of the organization. With years of experience in residential services and operations, Jeff has helped shape the company's commitment to providing high-quality, person-centered support for individuals with disabilities throughout southeastern Wisconsin. While Tyler Crabtree has assumed responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of residential operations, Jeff continues to play an active role in the organization. He oversees licensing and regulatory compliance, conducts residential assessments, and participates in key meetings and strategic planning efforts that help guide the future of Crabtree Living Solutions. His extensive knowledge of residential services, regulatory requirements, and operational best practices remains an invaluable resource for the entire CLS team. Jeff is passionate about ensuring individuals receive the support they need to live fulfilling lives while maintaining the highest standards of care, safety, and service quality. His leadership, experience, and dedication have helped establish Crabtree Living Solutions as a trusted provider within the communities it serves. Outside of work, Jeff enjoys spending time with his family, traveling with his wife Betsy, and staying active on the pickleball court whenever he has the opportunity.

The Heart of Our Care
Tyler Crabtree serves as the Director of Residential Services at Crabtree Living Solutions, overseeing all aspects of the organization's residential programs throughout Kenosha and Burlington. As a Certified Wisconsin Assisted Living Association CBRF Administrator, Tyler combines professional expertise with hands-on leadership to ensure residents receive high-quality, person-centered support in safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environments. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of CLS residential homes, working closely with residential coordinators, caregivers, and leadership staff to provide ongoing guidance, support, and oversight across all homes. Through regular communication with coordinators and direct care staff, he helps ensure consistency in care, effective problem-solving, strong team collaboration, and positive outcomes for residents. He also partners with families, guardians, case managers, healthcare professionals, and support teams to ensure each individual's needs, goals, and preferences remain at the center of their services. Having grown up around the family business, Tyler brings a lifelong passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and helping them live fulfilling lives within their communities. His leadership focuses on fostering a culture of compassion, accountability, teamwork, and continuous growth for both residents and staff. Through his commitment to quality care, regulatory excellence, and strong relationships, Tyler helps create residential environments where individuals can thrive, build confidence, and achieve their personal goals.
Tiffany Gamez serves as the Director of Crabtree Property Management, an organization operating under the Crabtree Living Solutions family of services. In her role, Tiffany oversees all operations related to Crabtree Property Management, including the apartment services program, ensuring residents receive high-quality support while maintaining the independence and flexibility that apartment living provides. With over 10 years of experience with the Crabtree organization, Tiffany has become a respected leader known for her exceptional attention to detail, strong business acumen, and unwavering dedication to excellence. She approaches every aspect of her work with passion and professionalism, helping ensure that both the properties and services under her leadership reflect the high standards that families and residents have come to expect. Tiffany works closely with residents, families, guardians, staff, and community partners to create supportive environments where individuals can live successfully while pursuing their personal goals. Her ability to balance operational excellence with genuine care for the people served makes her an invaluable part of the organization. Known for her thoughtful leadership, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to continuous improvement, Tiffany plays a key role in the ongoing success and growth of Crabtree Property Management and the apartment services program.
Jamey Roman serves as the Director of Human Resources at Crabtree Living Solutions, bringing more than 20 years of Human Resources experience and an extensive background in the nonprofit and mental health fields. She oversees all aspects of Human Resources, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, staff development, and organizational support, while leading all in-house employee training initiatives to ensure team members are equipped to provide exceptional, person-centered care. Jamey earned her Master of Science in Business Management from Cardinal Stritch University and holds a bachelor's degree in Human Services. Her experience, combined with a people-first leadership approach, allows her to create supportive environments where both employees and the individuals served by CLS can thrive. Known for her exceptional work ethic, attention to detail, and compassionate leadership, Jamey plays a vital role in shaping the culture of Crabtree Living Solutions. While she excels in the strategic and administrative side of Human Resources, she also enjoys building meaningful relationships with residents, program participants, and staff. She approaches every interaction with warmth, authenticity, and integrity, always striving to do what is best for both the organization and the people it serves. Outside of work, Jamey is a devoted wife and mother of two who values lifelong learning, giving back to the community, and mentoring others. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and continually pursuing opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Hailey Crabtree serves as the Marketing & Operations Coordinator at Crabtree Living Solutions, where she focuses on community outreach, brand development, and strengthening relationships with the individuals and families who make up the CLS community. As part of her role, Hailey manages the organization's social media presence, creates marketing materials, coordinates communications, and works to build meaningful connections with families, guardians, case managers, and other members of each individual's support team. Having grown up around the family business, Hailey has developed a deep appreciation for the mission of Crabtree Living Solutions and the positive impact it has on the lives of those it serves. Her lifelong exposure to the organization has fostered a genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and promoting the values that CLS was built upon. In addition to her marketing responsibilities, Hailey supports many operational initiatives throughout the organization and works closely with the leadership team, particularly within residential services. She is frequently seen interacting with participants in the Day Services program, building relationships, celebrating successes, and helping share the stories that make the CLS community so special. Hailey is passionate about increasing community awareness, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring families and support teams feel informed, connected, and engaged. Through her creativity, enthusiasm, and commitment to the organization's mission, she helps showcase the people, programs, and values that make Crabtree Living Solutions unique. Outside of work, Hailey enjoys spending time along the lakefront, exploring new coffee shops, and getting lost in the latest thriller novel.

1992
Where It All Began
Jeff Crabtree opens a two-bed certified home for individuals with disabilities. This marked the beginning of a lifelong commitment to providing compassionate, person-centered support.
1993
Growing the Vision
The home is relicensed as a four-bed Adult Family Home (AFH). Jeff lives alongside the residents he supports, creating a family-centered environment built on trust, respect, and meaningful relationships.
1994-1996
A Family Approach to Care
After meeting his wife, the couple continues living with and supporting residents together. These early years helped shape the values that would later become the foundation of the organization.
2005
Crabtree Residential Living is Founded
Jeff Crabtree and his brother officially establish Crabtree Residential Living. Starting with a small number of residential homes in the Kenosha and Burlington communities, the organization begins expanding to meet the growing need for quality disability support services.
2005-2003
Growing Our Residential Services
Additional homes are added throughout Kenosha and Burlington as more individuals and families seek supportive, community-based living options. The organization builds a strong reputation for quality care, dedicated staff, and person-centered support.
2014
CPM & Apartment Services Launch
Crabtree expands its continuum of care with the creation of CPM and Apartment Services. This new service provides individuals with greater independence while continuing to receive the personalized support needed to succeed in their homes and communities.
2025
Crabtree Living Solutions is Born
To better reflect the full range of services offered, Crabtree Residential Living officially transitions to Crabtree Living Solutions. While the name changed, the organization's values, mission, and commitment to person-centered care remained exactly the same.

Today, the next generation of leadership has joined the organization as Tyler and Hailey Crabtree carry forward the vision that Jeff helped create more than 30 years ago.
